Local School Council
Welcome to the Skinner Local School Council!

Please join us! The Mark T. Skinner Classical School Local School Council (LSC) meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM at the school. These meetings are open to everyone. The Skinner School LSC welcomes and encourages the participation of parents, community members, teachers and neighbors.

You can contact an LSC member to have an item placed on the agenda. You can also attend meetings and speak at the open forum at every regular meeting.

The Skinner LSC encourages parents, teachers and community members to participate by serving on committees that work to improve school life.

The Local School Council is an elected body whose primary responsibilities are to select the school's principal, renew the principal's contract, approve the School Improvement Plan for Advancing Academic Achievement, and approve the school´s budget. The Local School Council consists of 6 parents, 2 teachers, 2 community members and the principal of the school. Council members are elected every two years in April.
